The Pegasus is a dream come true!  The Pegasus is a direct result of 3 years of collaboration with industry experts. While other manufacturers look to different types of parachutes to enhance performance, Powrachute focused on the product it builds, and precisely marrying the cart to the chute. I have been flying powered parachutes since 1994 and have seen several design changes, including our own, that were more structural changes than anything else. In other words, flight performance was not enhanced with a new cart design. When I first test flew the Pegasus, I knew we had a winner. She was so stable a gust of wind head on felt like a bump in the road, instead of the Ferris wheel type rocking that is typical with other designs. When I was hit with a gust from the side, all I felt was a soft pull or slip in the direction verses the lower-wider out-rigger configuration now standard in our industry.

During this initial test period we were very pleased with the in-flight stability we were able to achieve. We noticed something else that was a very pleasant surprise, we were actually climbing faster than the popular PC2000, and had shorter take-off distances. The strategically located chute attach points were actually lifting the nose wheel much sooner and once she lifted off, she climbed like a rocket.  IN the first few flights, I would back off the power because I was achieving a much more aggressive angle of attack and my chute wasn't catching back up with me like I was accustomed to. I've come to learn that Pegasus was maintaining her climb uncommon with low outrigger designs.  Other bonuses were decreased foot bar pressure due to the more direct travel of the steering lines to the foot bars. I was also very pleased with the turning performance of the Pegasus.  The Pegasus has the best of all worlds when it comes to turning performance. What I mean is that she will satisfy a wide range of pilot flying styles.

While most PPC pilots like a gentle flat turn, there are others that like to bank the cart a lot. Pegasus can accomplish all of the turns with foot input only. Grabbing extra line is unnecessary.
